The
Greater New Orleans Suzuki Forum is a non-profit organization founded in 1978 by violinist Mrs. Doris Hansen to support and
promote the suzuki teaching method in the Greater New Orleans Area. The Forum represents families with children studying the
bass, cello, flute, guitar, harp, piano, viola, and violin. Forum students are taught by some of the finest teachers in the
country including out-of-town guest clinicians such as violinist, Moshe Neumann, guitarist, William Kossler and pianist, Rita
Hauck. All teachers in the Suzuki Method are certified but the Suzuki Association of the Americas,
an international organization (www.suzukiassociation.org).
Forum
students throughout the Greater New Orleans area participate in music festivals and concerts including the Celebration in
the Oaks, Holiday Market Place at the Superdome, Kids’ Day at Lakeside Mall and at charitable organizations performing
classical folk, and fiddle music.

The fees are $45 for one child in a family,
or $60 for a family with more than one child
participating.
Teachers participating in the Forum through leading
Forum performances throughout the year, will be given letters encouraging their students to
JOIN THE FORUM IN ORDER TO DISCOVER THE FUN OF
GROUP ACTIVITIES TOGETHER.
