Summer camp 2012

The Greater New Orleans Suzuki Forum is a non-profit organization founded in 1978 by violinist Mrs. Doris Hansen to support and promote the suzuki teaching method in the Greater New Orleans Area. The Forum represents families with children studying the bass, cello, flute, guitar, harp, piano, viola, and violin. Forum students are taught by some of the finest teachers in the country including out-of-town guest clinicians such as violinist, Moshe Neumann, guitarist, William Kossler and pianist, Rita Hauck. All teachers in the Suzuki Method are certified but the Suzuki Association of the Americas, an international organization (www.suzukiassociation.org).

Forum students throughout the Greater New Orleans area participate in music festivals and concerts including the Celebration in the Oaks, Holiday Market Place at the Superdome, Kids’ Day at Lakeside Mall and at charitable organizations performing classical folk, and fiddle music.
